Shabby Chic Flowers

Hello Folks ! =)

It's been a while since my last creation, but you know... I prefer being inspired than doing things by obligation. And this time, I made some flowers to decorate a shelf in my living room.

I used a very easy folding technic to shape the paper flowers. That's in fact 4 elements that I glued together with a glue gun, I can't do without this tool anymore, I just love it.

The rest isn't complicated at all, I just put a stick in the center of each flower base and I simply attached a ribbon in a spiral all around the wooden stick.

Voilà :) Don't hesitate to ask me the link of tutorial I followed to make the folding job.

Shabby Chic Style

Hello Peeps ! =)

Today, I have something special to show you.
I made a PAGE !! My first one :) That was one of my new resolutions for 2013 : doing something else. And there it is, I did it ! But I have to say that it wouldn't have been possible without the help of my sweet friend Sylvie from La Bulle à Scrap. So this page has been created from a kit she designed. I'm so fan of her work ! Go and visit her website, you'll fall in love with her creations.

What I like the most is this touch of blue we can retrieve a little everywhere on this beige/brown base with the butterflies and the baroque shapes which encloses the picture of my son. The butterflies has been punched with the Martha Stewart "3-in-1 Classic Butterfly" punch and highlighted with Distress Ink "Weathered Wood", I also put a dot of "Platinum" or "White Opal" on each of them. The beautiful papers are from My Mind's Eyes, I also received a piece of kraft cardstock that I punched with the "Doily Lace" border punch from Martha Stewart. The clocks has been stamped with the set of clear stamps "Horloges" from Toga. The words "Heureux", "Bonheur" and "Aimer" are from Kesi'Art. And for the circle "Sweet wonderful you", I used Magnolia stamps ("You're so sweet" and "Sweet wonderful you").

Magnetic Flat backed Halloween Treat Box

Hello Everyone ! :)

Countdown untill Halloween has begun, so of course, I created something for the occasion.

I was a bit fed up always making cards, then I thought to make a little box where I could hide candies. But unfortunately, my work could hardly stand straight because of all the embellishments, it was pretty heavy. So I decide to make a magnet to put on the fridge :) And here's what it looks like :

And then my friend Silvie made me a huge surprise by sending me a package containing her first Halloween card, this one. I fell so in love with this creation that she offered it to me, isn't she lovely ? You can't imagine how happy and shocked I was when I discovered it ! So in return, to thank her, I sent her a new package full of Halloween surprises, and I gave her a wink by adding my Treat Box ^^ It meant a lot to me to also send her my first Halloween creation. So I made an other box to make it more acceptable. And voilà :

Give me a "J"

Hello Bloggers ! :)

This time, I wanted to show you something different. My scrap taste has always been very eclectic, and recently, I've got into the "Shabby Chic" style and discovered the "Home Deco" trend. So I participated in a class given by Christine Van Roy and made this :

I had a lot of fun while creating this frame, while discovering the techniques to age the wooden stand after painting all the elements. I also learned to display the flowers and the charm in a different way. The paper I used is a Pion Design one. I looooooove these papers, they're so sweet and romantic. Here, I cut a piece of the "Lilly of the Valley" one, from the Fairytale of Spring collection, and then I distressed the edges of this square with the Distress-it-All machine from Zutter. I liked sooo much using it that the first thing I made when I came home is ordering my own ^^ And I did the same with the cordless Bosch "Heat Glue Gun". I first bought the Artemio one (more affordable), but I fell so in love with the Bosch' greatest ease of use that I NEEDED to get one too... and since I can't do without it anymore. Cordless, short heated time (15 sec), auto-off function after 5 minutes, heating protection, charger station,... Just buy it, you'll understand (in french, we say "C'est le jour et la nuit" if we have to compare to other similar tools). The stamp is from Florilège Design and the wooden elements from Boanita. The leaves has been cut with the Martha Stewart "leave" punch, the Rosette with the Tim Holtz die and I used "Platinum" stickles to make the light shine all over =)
