Gift-wrapping to Brighten her Life

Hi Crafters :)

There's a little something I made for my friend Cindy recently. Oh nothing extraordinary, but as I planned to send her some die-cuts she may like in my Dies collection, I didn't want to put all theses beauties directly into the envelope, so I decided to wrap them in something she may enjoy seeing while opening it.

Shabby Chic Flowers

Hello Folks ! =)

It's been a while since my last creation, but you know... I prefer being inspired than doing things by obligation. And this time, I made some flowers to decorate a shelf in my living room.

I used a very easy folding technic to shape the paper flowers. That's in fact 4 elements that I glued together with a glue gun, I can't do without this tool anymore, I just love it.

The rest isn't complicated at all, I just put a stick in the center of each flower base and I simply attached a ribbon in a spiral all around the wooden stick.

Voilà :) Don't hesitate to ask me the link of tutorial I followed to make the folding job.

Project Life Page - First attempt

Hello Bloggers ! =)

Yes, I succumbed to the temptation of doing a "project life" page :)
On the other hand, how was I supposed to do something else these days since all the scrap magazines present "project life" as an obligatory step in our continuous craft evolution ??

So I found this center page in an old issue of a french mag ("Histoire de Pages" n° 44 - one of my faves) displaying free elements to cut out (designed by Denise Laborde). I must say that since I bought my little round corner punch, I loooooove to prepare journaling cards and labels in advance. So I began to cut in the paper and then I felt the need to enter the next phase and here it is :)

For the background, I just used a basic "kraft" cardstock from Bazzill and added some label stickers from My Mind's Eyes ("Miss Caroline" and "Lost and Found Two" collections). I cut distorted hearts with my Kesi'Art dies and the smallest with a punch from Heyda. I also stamped some stitchingss from Florilège and sentiments from The Bloomini Studio ("Parfum d'Amour", "Home Sweet Home" and "Ces photos racontent").

And last but not least, I used a photo sleeve from We R Memory Keepers to display all the elements.

I had a lot of fun doing this and I guess I'll create additional pages soon :)

Shabby Chic Style

Hello Peeps ! =)

Today, I have something special to show you.
I made a PAGE !! My first one :) That was one of my new resolutions for 2013 : doing something else. And there it is, I did it ! But I have to say that it wouldn't have been possible without the help of my sweet friend Sylvie from La Bulle à Scrap. So this page has been created from a kit she designed. I'm so fan of her work ! Go and visit her website, you'll fall in love with her creations.

What I like the most is this touch of blue we can retrieve a little everywhere on this beige/brown base with the butterflies and the baroque shapes which encloses the picture of my son. The butterflies has been punched with the Martha Stewart "3-in-1 Classic Butterfly" punch and highlighted with Distress Ink "Weathered Wood", I also put a dot of "Platinum" or "White Opal" on each of them. The beautiful papers are from My Mind's Eyes, I also received a piece of kraft cardstock that I punched with the "Doily Lace" border punch from Martha Stewart. The clocks has been stamped with the set of clear stamps "Horloges" from Toga. The words "Heureux", "Bonheur" and "Aimer" are from Kesi'Art. And for the circle "Sweet wonderful you", I used Magnolia stamps ("You're so sweet" and "Sweet wonderful you").

A card for my Soul Friend Belinda

Hello Bloggers ! =)

Each year, my best friend sends me a big card with a photo montage frame on the cover, made with all the "best pictures of the year". She has always respected traditions, she's the only one who still sends me regular mail (by post I mean). I get a postcard when she's abroad on holiday with her family, or to invite, to thank. And of course, I always receive something for the festive season. But shame on me, I lost that. I already wanted to make a little something for her last year, but I abandon the idea. I would be lying if I said I didn't have time to do it. I'm just very lazy sometimes.
So this year, I can proudly say I made something for my friend =)

The papers I used are from the "Tradition" collection, designed by Fancy Pants. I cut the flags with the Doohickey "Cloud & Flag" from Magnolia. The snow has been made with "Platinum" stickles. I cut the tag with the Nestabilities die "label 14" from Spellbinders. I distressed the edges with "Frayed Burlap" ink. The "Meilleurs voeux" wood stamp is from
the company Personal Stamp Exchange (known as PSX).  And on the inside, I stained the whole white side of the paper with the same ink as on the edges. And then, I stamped some snowflakes almost everywhere with the "Rich Cocoa" Memento ink :) Voilà for the main things I made.

Une carte pour ma Cossinel

Hello fellow Crafters = ^_^ =

Here is a quickie card I've made in a rush for my lil' sister some weeks ago. So it's not a highly elaborated creation this time, but as it's still a creation of mine, I just wanted to document it here because this blog is also my portfolio :)

For the little story, I gave a french nickname to my sister years ago when she learned to speak. She wasn't able to pronounce the word "coccinelle" for a "ladybug", so she used to say : "cossinel". And since then, I affectionately call her "Ma Cossinel". So it's a wink she will instantly understand ;-)

Basic Grey is one of my most favorite paper designers. These ones are from an old sweet collection that I particularly like : the "Sugared" one. I sanded the edges of each pieces I cut. The background is a simple kraft cardstock from Bazzill. I also used a "gold" pen to draw the antennas, "White Opal" stickles to highlight the white spots and the "thinking of you" stamp is from Inkadinko. And voilà :
